A CARGO SAAS WITH A UNIFIED UI & EXPERIENCE.

OG is a U.S. based solutions provider for the trucking and logistics industry, offering services in booking, dispatching, billing, compliance, and more.

THE PROJECT OVERVIEW

OG set out to redesign their legacy tools and build modern solutions that strengthened and expanded their product lineup. Their existing apps were outdated, lacked consistent branding, and operated as disconnected pieces. They needed a modern, user friendly experience that could scale and allow their products to work together smoothly. The primary audience was small and medium business owners in logistics and trucking, experienced operators who often rely on traditional methods and are slow to adopt new technology.

MY DESIGN PROCESS

Our design approach began with a discovery process for each product, starting from the group’s overall positioning and refining the direction for more than six tools. We focused on building scalable, modular UI and UX systems, using shared patterns and brand elements to keep the entire suite consistent. We created a neutral brand foundation with subtle color accents to let each product express its own identity while still fitting into a unified ecosystem.

DESIGN EXECUTION

Our web design used color to communicate meaning in the interface, while the print guidelines remained flexible so content could be adapted easily. We preserved important functionality from the older apps but presented it in a way that felt familiar to existing users and simple for new users to understand. Each product also needed to connect smoothly with the others. For example, the Cargo app had to work seamlessly with Compliance and Driver Qualification, creating a unified experience and consistent branding across the entire suite.

DEVELOPMENT

We built interactive prototypes to test user flows and key design decisions, then refined the product based on feedback from experts, users, and stakeholders. The final approach balanced simplicity for new users with the flexibility that experienced users needed.

MY ROLE

I was responsible for all design across the product, including UX and UI, branding, and print. Working directly with the CTO and CEO, I translated business and operational requirements into clear visual solutions in Figma. Designs were workshopped, iterated, and refined through close collaboration before moving into delivery. I partnered with the development team to provide validated prototypes and production-ready Zeplin outputs, and coordinated with third-party print vendors to prepare and supply final artwork for print and deployment.
